Refund Policy

When and how you can get a full refund on a Cover My Order Premium licence.

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund for a Cover My Order Premium licence purchase. It supplements our Terms of Service and applies to purchases made through our checkout, processed by Freemius, Inc., our payment processor and merchant of record.

Our Refund Commitment

We want you to be confident in your Cover My Order purchase. If Cover My Order isn't right for your store, we offer the money-back guarantee below — no lengthy justification required for the standard window, and no partial refunds; refunds are issued in full for the purchase price.

Standard Refund Window — Days 1–14

You may request a full refund within 14 days of your original purchase date, for any reason, whether or not you've activated or used the licence. This applies to new Premium licence purchases (Silver, Business, or Agency plans, on any billing cycle), and is processed directly with no manual verification required.

Extended Refund Window — Days 15–30 Unused licence, manual review

If your refund request comes in after the standard 14-day window has passed, but you never activated the licence — meaning the licence key was never entered on a live store and the Plugin's Premium features were never used — we'll extend the refund window to 30 days from your purchase date.

Unlike the standard 14-day refund, requests in this 15–30 day window go through manual verification before approval:

  1. Email us at support@covermyorder.com with your order/licence details and the store URL the licence was intended for.
  2. We'll manually check the licence's activation history to confirm it was never used.
  3. If confirmed unused, we'll process a full refund. If the licence shows any activation history, the standard 14-day window applies instead, and a request outside that window will be declined.

Because this step requires manual review, refunds in the 15–30 day window may take longer to process than a standard 14-day request.

What's Covered

  • Full refund of the purchase price for eligible requests made within the applicable window (Section 2 or 3).
  • Refunds apply to the initial purchase payment of a new subscription or lifetime licence.

What's Not Covered

  • Renewal payments. Once a subscription has renewed, that renewal payment is non-refundable, except at our discretion or where required by applicable law. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid being charged again — any time from your Freemius customer portal.
  • Requests made after day 30 are handled at our discretion rather than as a guaranteed refund.
  • Third-party conflicts — incompatibility with another plugin, theme, or hosting environment — are not automatically covered, though we'll still try to help you resolve them through support first.
  • Abuse of this policy — for example, repeated purchase-and-refund cycles on the same store — may result in a refund request being declined and, in serious cases, licence access being restricted.

How to Request a Refund

  1. Email us at support@covermyorder.com with your order/licence details, or
  2. Log in to your Freemius customer portal and submit a refund request directly.

We aim to review and action eligible requests promptly. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method.

Refund Processing and Timing

  • Refunds are processed through Freemius, our payment processor. Freemius can action refunds for transactions up to 30 days after the original payment date; this platform-level limit is why our extended window (Section 3) is capped at the same 30 days.
  • Once approved, refunds are typically issued immediately on our end, but may take 5–10 business days to appear on your card or bank statement, depending on your card issuer or bank.
  • If you request a refund after the 30-day Freemius processing window has closed, we'll do our best to resolve it directly with you outside of the standard automated process, though this isn't guaranteed.

Disputes and Chargebacks

If you open a payment dispute or chargeback with your bank or card provider instead of contacting us directly, Freemius may place a temporary hold on the related funds while the dispute is reviewed. We'd always prefer the chance to resolve a refund request directly first — it's faster for you and avoids dispute/chargeback fees on both sides.

Free Plugin

The free version of Cover My Order, distributed via WordPress.org, has no purchase price and therefore nothing to refund. This policy applies only to paid Premium licences.
