CoverMyOrder is a self-hosted WooCommerce plugin for order and shipping protection. We built it so store owners can offer protection at checkout, resolve claims in-house, and keep every premium, without handing their customers, their data or their revenue to a third-party platform.
Shipping goes wrong. Parcels are lost, damaged or stolen, and that risk quietly erodes margin and floods the support inbox. Large marketplaces solved this years ago with built-in order protection. Independent merchants were left renting the same capability from third-party apps that take a cut of every premium and sit between the store and its customers.
Our mission is simple: put a complete, merchant-owned order and shipping protection program directly inside WooCommerce, where the store already lives.
CoverMyOrder started inside a WooCommerce store, not a boardroom. Managing a growing catalogue meant answering the same message every day — “where is my order?” — and eating the cost of parcels that never arrived. The available shipping protection apps helped, but every one of them charged a percentage of the premium and moved the customer relationship off-site.
So we built the tool we wanted: an opt-in protection line item at checkout, a self-serve claims portal for customers, and a reserve ledger that made the numbers defensible to an accountant. It worked. Support tickets dropped, and protection became a real revenue line instead of a cost centre.
Today CoverMyOrder is a full plugin for the WooCommerce ecosystem, with native support for the Blocks checkout and High Performance Order Storage. The principle has not changed: the store owns the program.
